Paleophilatelie.eu is an online resource combining Philately with Paleontology and Paleoanthropology. This website shows images and provides information about thousands of philatelic items related to Paleontology and Paleoanthropology from almost 200 countries and territories sorted by country and date of issue. The website contains many hundreds of pages describing individual stamp issues and articles related to the “Paleophilatelie” topics, as well as many examples of philatelic exhibits. The Paleophilatelie website can be explored on all types of electronic devices, including desktop computers, laptops, tablets, and smartphones. However, the website is best viewed on a wide screen, where images, galleries, and text layouts can be displayed more clearly and comfortably. |
08.01.2026 At the end of the last year, "Paleophilatelie" website participated in two International Stamps Exhibits, where it was awarded LARGE GOLD and Large Vermeil Medals at the 19th New Zealand National Philatelic Literature Exhibition 2025 in Christchurch in New Zealand; AUSVIPEX 2025 (Virtual Philatelic Exhibition), organized by the Australian Philatelic Federation respectively. Mr. Michael Kogan from Germany, a member
of the International Association of Philatelic Journalists and several international philatelic clubs.
Dr. Peter Voice of the Department of Geological and Environmental Sciences at Western Michigan University in the USA provides scientific advice and editorial support for the website, since 2019. |
Since 2018, the “Paleophilatelie” website has regularly taken part in
international competitions in the Electronic Literature category.
The website has received numerous awards, including
Large Gold Medals at the New Zealand National Philatelic Literature Exhibition
in 2023 and 2025, and at the Great American Stamp Show in 2024.
