Paleophilatelie is a topical collecting of post stamps and another kind of philatelic material (covers, post cards, postal stationery, post marks etc.) depicted dinosaurs and other prehistoric animals or plants, fossils, fossil found sites, humans ancestors, paleontologists and contributors to the science as well as some museums with significant paleontological collections.
In other worlds this site is about representation of Paleontology in Philately.

What is not included here ? Unofficial, illegal items (Cinderella) not recognized as official post stamps, stamps depicted dinosaurs and other prehistoric animals and plants in joke, cartoon, children painting or paleontology not related contents such as illustration of Juiles_Verne stories for example.

Paleophilatelie stamp catalogue Currently this catalogue shows images of over 1000 stamps of almost 200 countries that related to Paleontology and Paleoanthropology: dinosaurs and other prehistoric animals, early mankind, paleontologists, paleontologic and paleoantropologic museums, fossils and fossils found sites, contributors to Paleoanthropology and Paleoanthropology sciences such as Charles Darwin, Carl Linne. Later on, other philately related objects such as postal stationery, postmarks, meter franking will be added there.
